Winter Jam 2.10.18

I'm so glad I went to Winter Jam this year! My sister Sarah and I had a blast. I haven't gone since 2016 so I was super pumped about this year's event. (I've been talking about it for weeks -- just ask Sarah if you don't believe me.) The lineup couldn't have been better.

Highlights from the Night

Kari Jobe. Her voice is amazing. But what's wonderful about her is that she came to worship God not herself or her talents. It wasn't about her when she came on stage. What a refreshing reminder for all of us! My favorite song she played was "I am Not Alone".

Skillet. I'm not much for rock music, but when they played an acoustic version of "Stars" and everyone held out their phone's light, it gave me goosebumps. You're looking out at twinkling phones that look like stars while this worshipful and well-written song plays ... ahh it was BREATHTAKING.

Jordan Feliz. You've probably heard his songs on the radio. Songs like "The River", "Witness," or "Beloved." It was great to see the face behind the inspiring music he's created.

John Crist. This well-known Christian comedian had a humorous stand-up comedy act that had the crowd rolling on the floor laughing.

Building 429. This 14-year-old band has some classic, upbeat songs that keep fans entertained. I loved their "Where I Belong" the best. They even played a brand new song called "This Place" which was released a few days ago. Go check it out; it's awesome!!

That's a Wrap!

Hope you liked my Winter Jam recap! I look forward to blogging more about my upcoming trip OUT WEST. Stay tuned for photos and updates in the near future!

Love you all,
Rachel
