Now, it's time to travel to Olivia's world and see what Chapter 3: A Surprise for Everyone holds. Here we go!
Olivia soon approached a tall man in overalls and a cowboy hat, who Olivia called "Uncle Ken."
"Hey, Uncle Ken!" greeted Olivia.
"Howdy, Livi," Uncle Ken replied in his southern twang. "You ready to catch some fish?"
"Before I do, could I give some flower petals to my cousins?"
"Go right ahead, young lady. They're up there, yonder." He pointed to a nearby boulder where Hope, and Julia rested quietly.
After finding them, Olivia said to her cousins, "Julia, Hope, come here! I've got a present for you!" She motioned for them to come closer.
"Presents!" four-year-old Julia shouted excitedly as she scampered quickly to Olivia.
"What is the present, Livi?" asked seven-year-old Hope, her accompanying sister.
Olivia, Hope, and Julia huddled up together while Livi pulled out her straw hat from behind her back, displaying four full tulips and eight tulip petals.
"Ooohhh..." gasped the girls. "They're so pretty."
"Thanks for getting them for us, Livi," mature Hope said gratefully. "We totally forgot about the garden and tulips."
Due to excessive chores the two cousins, Hope and Julia, had to do, they had to stay home and clean instead of joining Emily and Olivia at the garden. But now, they reunited and Olivia suggested for them to ...
"Tuck it behind your ear, like this." Olivia demonstrated. "Now you're princesses! Show your parents!" Olivia continued.
Julia and Hope -- smiling ear to ear with happiness -- ran to Uncle Ken at his truck, shouting, "Isn't it pretty?"
"Yeah, y'all are cute. Show your Mama. She'll love it."
Just then, Aunt Rosemary appeared in front of them with one-year-old Josh on her hip to announce some big news. But before she could say anything, Julia screamed, "Mommy, Mommy, look at my flower!"
"Oh, Jules, it's gorgeous," and turning to Hope, she said, "Hope, it's beautiful!"
"Livi brought it to us!" replied Hope.
"That's so nice of her!" Olivia blushed.
"Mommy, can I hold Josh please?" asked Hope.
"Sure," She handed him over to Hope.
After that, Aunt Rosemary winked at Uncle Ken, who was at his pickup truck. She was about to announce the big news that had been holding back for a week. Uncle Ken dropped the fishing pole he was untangling and came running to Aunt Rosemary's group of Hope, Julia, and Olivia.
"Olivia," Uncle Ken whispered, he motioned for her to come closer.
"Yes?"
"Go get Emily and tell her we've got some big news," he smiled.
"Okay." She ran toward the garden.
Approaching Emily, Olivia said, "Uncle Ken wants you -- he said he's got some big news!"
Emily jumped up and ran with Livi to the lake. "Wonder what it is..."
"The suspense is killing me!" Livi exaggerated.
Olivia and Emily joined the group. There was the whole family, bustling with excitement.
Aunt Rosemary began with, "As you all know, we've got an announcement to make..."
Uncle Ken continued her sentence, hugging his wife. "We're having another baby!"
Smiles went abroad, as, of course, they are very contagious. The family jumped up with joy, circling around Aunt Rosemary and Uncle Ken.
"Yay!"
"That's great!"
"A boy or a girl?"
"We don't know yet." Aunt Rosemary replied. "But we'll find out soon!"
"Can we go pick out baby clothes at the thrift store?"
"Josh is a big brother now!"
