MT Trip 2015 | Part 3: Yellowstone with Jenni

On Saturday, July 18, 2015,

our friend, Jenni, gave us a personal tour

of Yellowstone National Park. 

With Jenni as our tour guide,

we knew this was going to be

a fun, educational experience!

Let the adventure begin!

While entering Yellowstone National Park, we came across this Roosevelt Arch
that proudly says, "For the Benefit and Enjoyment of the People."
I definitely enjoyed it! haha ;)

At Yellowstone, prepare to be amazed.
This looks like it could be a puzzle!

He is like a tree planted by streams of water

that yields its fruit in its season,

and its leaf does not wither.

In all that he does, he prospers. (Psalm 1:3)

Because of the extremely hot temperatures,
steam rises up above the river.
But did you know that throughout this river,
you can find extremely hot spots
and extremely cold spots?
I actually got to step foot in both!

We found some elk right in front of our car!

This is called "Liberty Cap."
It's a dormant hot spring cone.

That was so much fun! Since I had heard about Old Faithful my whole life,
actually getting to see it in person was pretty cool!

Yellowstone National Park is actually in Wyoming, which borders Montana and Idaho. So, we took the opportunity to step foot in all 3 states!

At the end of the day, we spotted a total of ...
8 pronghorn (also known as antelope)
22 elk and calves
900 buffalo (also known as bison)
1 deer
